Suggested Walks

Prior to the impact of Covid-19, we organised monthly group walks and enjoyed our sociable hikes and wanders, as members took it in turns to suggest and lead the group on each walk. Whilst our numbers are now restricted, we are still keen to safely get out and about and to encourage our fellow Explore members and Friends to keep active and enjoy our wonderful landscape. Below you'll find a number of suggested walks suggested by Explore Walkers, intended to inspire and guide, privately or as a small group when permissible. If you would like to suggest a trail, or would like to arrange for a small group to meet and walk together, please email Friends of Explore

Who are we?

Everyone really - not a different group - just part of Explore helping to add a bit of 'social' to the learning by encouraging fun, healthy and interactive events outside the main programme. You can read more on the Friends of Explore page of the website.

Our walks are for anyone so you can generally bring friends / partners / relatives / dogs to Friends of Explore activities, as long as capacity allows. Whilst restrictions are in place for group meetings it's important to make sure the numbers are within limits so email Friends of Explore to confirm.
